    Spin the MLB team wheel

Tap the wheel face or the button under it, and the pointer comes to rest on one of the 30 big-league clubs. Which club comes up is decided by crypto-grade randomness from your browser while the wheel is still at rest. The club it lands on fills the result panel and goes to the top of the results list.

The default list runs alphabetically by nickname, Angels through Yankees. Nicknames keep thirty slices readable: each label gets roughly ten characters, so only Diamondbacks is shortened on the full wheel, and it prints in full once you tap a league or division.

Random MLB team generator for drafts and pools

The simplest office baseball pool hands every entrant a club at random, and whoever holds the best regular-season record at the end takes the prize. Check the remove-winner checkbox, then let entrants take turns at the spin button, and no club can end up with two owners. Thirty divides evenly among 2, 3, 5, 6, 10 or 15 people. With an awkward group size, stop once everyone holds the same number and leave the leftover clubs unowned.

For a postseason pool, press Clear and type in the twelve clubs that made the playoffs, six from each league. A dozen slices leave room for every nickname in full.

Give me a random MLB team: all 30 clubs

Ask someone to name a random MLB team and the answer is usually the Yankees or the Dodgers. Here the Rockies get exactly the same slice, along with every other current franchise: Angels, Astros, Athletics, Blue Jays, Braves, Brewers, Cardinals, Cubs, Diamondbacks, Dodgers, Giants, Guardians, Mariners, Marlins, Mets, Nationals, Orioles, Padres, Phillies, Pirates, Rangers, Rays, Red Sox, Reds, Rockies, Royals, Tigers, Twins, White Sox and Yankees.

Two names trip up lists copied from older sources: Cleveland has played as the Guardians since 2022, and the A’s now go by Athletics with no city in front. To use city names instead, edit any line, but spell out both clubs in Chicago, New York and Los Angeles. Two lines that both read Chicago would look like one club with double the odds, and nobody could tell the Cubs from the White Sox.

Pick a random MLB team from the American or National League

The two league buttons load fifteen clubs apiece, an even split that dates from the Astros moving from the National League to the American League in 2013. Use them when the question is already half answered: a fan who only follows one league, a trivia round on NL history, or a pool that covers a single side of the postseason bracket.

Fifteen slices read far more easily than thirty, especially on a phone. Spinning the other league is also a quick way to circle an interleague series on the calendar, because since 2023 every club meets all 29 others at least once during the regular season.

    MLB wheel by division

Six division buttons turn the page into a random MLB team picker for five clubs at a time: AL East, AL Central, AL West, NL East, NL Central and NL West. Five slices give every team a wide wedge and a large label, which suits a projector at the front of a classroom as well as a quick spin on a small screen.

A division wheel answers narrower questions, such as which NL Central ballpark goes first on a summer road trip. The Cubs, Cardinals, Brewers, Reds and Pirates sit within a long day’s drive of one another, which makes that division a practical one to tour.

MLB team wheel spinner without repeats

Once “Remove the winner after each spin” is checked, each club drops off the wheel the moment it comes up. Twenty-nine spins finish the job, because when two remain and one is drawn, the page records the last club for you. That turns this MLB wheel spinner into a running order for a mock draft lottery or a watch-every-team season challenge.

Want the complete order without the suspense? Press Shuffle. It rearranges the whole list at random in one tap, and reading it from top to bottom gives a ranking of all 30 clubs with no spinning at all.

The results list numbers each pick with the newest on top. It covers this visit only and resets when the page reloads, so for a thirty-club order, write the picks into a note or a group chat as they come.

Random baseball team generator for games and classrooms

A team wheel hands out research projects in seconds: each student spins a club and reports on its city, its ballpark and one great season. With the remove-winner box checked, a class of up to 30 never doubles up. For a math unit, have students follow their club for two weeks and work out its winning percentage from the standings.

Nothing limits the list to the majors. Paste the twelve clubs of Japan’s Nippon Professional Baseball, your college conference, or the teams in a local Little League division. Even a long list of minor league affiliates fits within the 1,000-line limit; past about 40 names the slices go unlabeled, yet the result panel still shows the winner in full.

A random baseball team name generator is a different tool, one that invents names. This page does not invent anything, but plenty of youth leagues borrow big-league nicknames, and spinning the default list with the checkbox on assigns those names to your teams without an argument.

Random MLB team wheel for MLB The Show, positions and players

A random MLB team spinner is a popular way to start a video game challenge: spin once, then play a full Franchise season in MLB The Show with whatever club comes up, rebuild and all. For a harder draw, type the clubs you see as rebuilding teams twice; a repeated line gets more of the wheel in plain view, so everyone can see the odds were tilted before the spin.

For a team-and-position wheel, spin the club first, then replace the list with the nine positions, P, C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, LF, CF and RF, and spin again. The pair gives a prompt like Mariners center fielder for a Road to the Show player or a guessing game about who has held that spot. Tap All 30 to bring the clubs back.

A random MLB player wheel works the same way. Paste a club’s active roster, one player per line, and spin for a name to take in a mock draft.

    Frequently asked questions

How do I get a random MLB team?

Tap the wheel, or the big button beneath it. Whichever club the pointer stops on fills the result panel and is logged in the results list. Spin again for another, or check the remove-winner checkbox first so no club comes up twice.

Can the random MLB team generator pick from one league or division?

Yes. The American League and National League buttons load fifteen clubs each, and the six division buttons load five. All 30 puts every club back on the wheel.

Can I pick a random MLB team with no repeats?

You can. Switch on the checkbox that removes each winner, and every club you draw leaves the wheel; after 29 spins the thirtieth is recorded for you. The results list shows the newest pick on top, so jot the order down as it builds if you need all 30.

Can I spin an MLB team wheel and a position?

Yes, in two spins. Draw the club, then swap the list for P, C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, LF, CF and RF and spin for the position. The All 30 button restores the teams for the next round.

Is there a wheel spin for picking a team in MLB The Show?

This one works for it. Spin the full list for a Franchise run, or tap a league or division when your challenge rules limit the field, then start the franchise with whichever club came up.

Can I use it as a random baseball team generator for other leagues?

Yes. Replace the MLB clubs with any teams you like, one per line, whether that is a college conference, the NPB in Japan or your local Little League. Lists of up to 1,000 teams work.

Is this a random baseball team name generator?

Not in the sense of making up new names. It picks from names you give it, so a youth league can spin the 30 MLB nicknames, or a shortlist of its own ideas, to label its teams.

Does the MLB team wheel cost anything or upload my list?

No to both: it is free, needs no account, and the teams on your list never leave your browser. The site loads two outside services, Google Analytics to count visits and how pages are used, under a pseudonymous cookie ID, and Google AdSense to show ads, and the wheel hands neither of them the list.
